A few months ago I "surgically transplanted" some morning glory babies into an area below our bottle tree, and they have finally made their way to the top. From a distance, it's hard to distinguish a blue bottle from a flower each morning. The limbs in back belong to the neighbor's elm tree. Big Bore and I went on a rock hunting trip last week so we could encircle our bottle tree with something besides evil bermuda grass. Thanks to our North Carolina pals Dr. Maureen and her wine-happy husband Scott for inspiring our Kansas-style bottle tree!
