LET THERE BE WATER

Thanks to an ace team of men who have mercy on the water-leaking retired, Casa de la Flaming Bore is back in Flush Mode. The carpenter who built my front porch five years ago tore it apart, the back hoe operator ripped a mighty trench in the front yard, and the energetic plumber doctor performed an expert pipeline bypass. By mid-afternoon yesterday, all systems, including my bladder, were go!

The carpenter still has to return to re-build the section of porch that was torn up, and for the next month or so Big Bore will be trying to get the scarred lawn on its way back to normalcy. My job is to figure out what to do with the garden area that bit the dust. I may just have to replace the flowers with the some pieces of yard art for a while. Large yard art. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

P.S. The screech owls apparently didn’t get too freaked out with the front yard calamity, as they are still taking up residence in the elm tree. All is well. The only screeching yesterday came from me.
