The Flaming Bore will be temporarily out of service for the next few days. Mama Bore is not doing well, lumbar compression fracture among other problems, so I’ll be taking care of her and working with Beans, Big Sis, and some doctors on figuring out a medical plan. Hope you’ll keep my little mama angel in your thoughts and prayers.

if her doctors think it is appropriate, kyphoplasty helps a LOT with pain etc of lumbar compression fractures. essentially the doctor shoots a cement-like substance into the crumbled vertebra and "plumps" it up---relieving the pain on the nerves etc. it's done under local anesthesia usually in an outpatient facility.

Sorry to hear about your new challenges. I know you, and I know you will handle them with much grace and thought beforehand. You are definitely in my prayers. You are so lucky to have help making the tough decisions. Sending you lots of love.
